We are excited to present this year’s Christmas Barrel Project releases to you across these decadent, seasonal and fully developed beers.

Each year we combine the best of our brewing, barrels, hops, fine organic fruits, and carefully sourced ingredients to deliver beers that range from luscious spirit-aged stouts to deeply complex blends with spontaneously fermented bases.

The 6 beers included in this set are listed below. It also includes a 30cl Luttich-Style glass with a real gold logo on the front, gold rim and our Barrel Project emblem on the back. 

Nothing To Explain

BOURBON BARREL AGED BARLEYWINE WITH LORAL AND SABRO - 9.3% ABV

A beer style that harks back to the late eighteenth century in its creation,
Nothing to Explain holds a sense of old meeting new; the traditional mixed with
a bright and sanguine freshness. Having been aged in Bourbon barrels to impart
a smooth, spiced sweetness, the beer was then dry-hopped with Loral and Sabro
to meld with some resinous notes and hints of freshness in the form of coconut
and complex citrus. This beer is best served with a sense of wise optimism.

Hot Cast Days

BARREL AGED PASSION FRUIT WILD SOUR - 6.5% ABV

Hot Cast Days combines the dry tannic notes imparted by its time in wine barrels with the sweet juiciness brought by the addition of passion fruit. You’re left with a beer that is lightly carbonated but full of life, the dry finish punctuated by a sharp and layered acidity. A Sour that is perfect in that limbo between seasons when you want something refreshing but full of flavour.

El Dorado, Simcoe IPA

EL DORADO, SIMCOE FOUDRE ALE - 7.2% ABV

A blend of a two year red wine Barrel-Aged DIPA and a Foudre Ale,
this is a Wild IPA that is full of sweet papaya and pineapple flavour
before leaving you with a dry, funky finish. Harnessing the process of
biotransformation, we used Brettanomyces to unlock the deep flavours
of the El Dorado and Simcoe that were used to dry-hop the beer.
This has created a characterful flavour profile that includes pine and
resinous back notes.

Centennial, Citra, Ekuanot

CENTENNIAL, CITRA, EKUANOT FOUDRE ALE - 8.4% ABV

The base of this beer was a combination of two beer styles - a Wild Ale from
a foudre and a Pale Ale that was aged in red wine barrels for two years. The
complementary blend of hops evolved through the process of biotransformation
in the bottle, bringing their underlying flavours to life in unpredictable ways. The
result is a beautifully funky and piney beer with flavours of lychee and pineapple.
It has a tart acidity restrained by a lingering bitterness from the dry-hopping.

Something Only You Can Be

SPON CHUCKLEBERRY WITH SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE - 6.4% ABV

Coffee might more commonly be found in our darker beers but with
Something Only You Can Be we’ve made something unique, using an aged
chuckleberry Wild Beer as our base and infusing it with Gachatha single
origin coffee from Kenya, supplied by our friends at Workshop Coffee. The
resulting beer has both the acidity of a sour but the smoothness that comes
from using coffee beans roasted for flavour and luscious texture, with a
unique and distinctive flavour profile.

The Day After Tomorrow

KRIEK INSPIRED WILD ALE WITH SOUR CHERRIES - 7.1% ABV

Using the Belgian Kriek Lambic style as our inspiration, The Day After
Tomorrow is an extremely fruit-forward Wild Sour that, thanks to the carbonic
maceration of whole cherries, has released the full breadth of their flavour.
The fruit expression is bright and vibrant with a softly-sour mouthfeel that
offers delightful refreshment. Enjoy it with gratitude for this year’s fruit
harvests, and with anticipation of harvests to come.

Your Christmas Barrel Project 2022 pack will be shipped within Mainland UK at no extra cost to you. If you are based in Northern Ireland, we will ship your order with UPS. Please see our shipping terms here for more information.

If you have ordered from us before you will know our boxes arrive really quickly. Although, with our biggest release of the year, please be patient and allow us up to 7 working days to process and ship your order. Our team will be shipping just 150 boxes per day, to promote a safe and quick journey through the courier network, to your front door. 

To avoid any delays, ensure you have everything before checking out, as we are unable to amend your order once it has been placed. If you order contains other items then they will all be shipped together.

Please include any specific delivery instructions on the “Notes” section at the checkout that we can pass over to the courier partners. We are unable to control your parcel once it has left us.
